In this video, we show you how to use Plan Mode in Rovo Dev inside VS Code. Plan Mode helps you generate deep, structured implementation plans before you start coding, so you can tackle complex work with confidence.



With Rovo Dev Plan Mode, you can:

- Turn it on via Preferences at the bottom of the Rovo Dev chat in VS Code

- Ask for a step-by-step plan for complex features (like advanced security/auth flows)

- Get a detailed, multi-section plan with clearly described steps in each part

- Receive additional options and follow-ups you can choose to add to the plan



In the demo, you’ll see:

- How to enable Plan Mode in the IDE

- How Rovo Dev responds to a prompt like: “Give me a plan on how we can implement a complex security auth for this app.”

- How the generated plan is structured into sections with actionable steps

- How Plan Mode suggests extra items you can include with a simple “yes.”
