Zero Trust has always been about verifying every user and device - but what happens when the actor isn’t human at all?

Autonomous systems and AI agents are now executing code, provisioning infrastructure, and making operational decisions in production environments. Yet, these systems often operate on implicit trust, static credentials, or shared secrets - the opposite of Zero Trust principles.



This talk explores how organizations can extend Zero Trust beyond humans by using machine identity as the foundation for verifiable trust. Attendees will learn how open standards like SPIFFE and SPIRE can be adopted to federate and manage access for machine identities and AI agents.



We’ll walk through architectural patterns and practical steps to embed machine identity into modern application design - ensuring that every process, agent, and workload in your system can prove who it is before it acts.

Previously, Rita held senior product leadership roles at Salt Security, including Director of Product Management, where she worked on cutting-edge API security platforms leveraging machine learning and AI. Earlier in her career, she spent over six years at Intango, progressing from operational leadership to VP of Product & Professional Services, where she led large-scale, multi-product portfolios in ad tech, SaaS, and digital marketing, driving significant revenue growth and organizational transformation.



Rita brings a rare combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. She is highly data-driven, impact-oriented, and passionate about building strong, diverse teams. Her cross-industry experience spans cybersecurity, advertising & digital marketing, HR tech, health tech, and e-learning, enabling her to bridge user needs, business goals, and technical realities to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
