Grok Voice Mode Coming Soon to Apple CarPlay

Apple CarPlay is quietly becoming a hub for AI tools, and Grok is next in line to join this shift with its upcoming voice mode integration for in-car use. The latest Grok app for iPhone already includes a CarPlay placeholder, which clearly shows that xAI is preparing to bring its chatbot into Apple’s driving interface, even though the feature is not live yet.



Right now, if you open the Grok app on CarPlay, it only shows a simple message that says voice mode is coming soon, which signals that development is active but not ready for public use. This early placeholder still matters because it confirms that Grok will soon work directly through CarPlay, which puts it alongside other AI tools that already support the platform.







Once Grok Voice mode arrives, it will join ChatGPT, which already offers AI interactions inside CarPlay, allowing drivers to ask questions, get quick answers, and handle tasks without touching their phones. This expansion shows that Apple is opening the door for more AI assistants in the car, especially those focused on voice-first interaction.



Grok already runs natively in Tesla vehicles, so this CarPlay move extends its reach to a much wider group of drivers who use Apple’s system across different car brands. At the same time, Apple is preparing bigger AI changes, with Gemini models expected to power parts of Siri in iOS 27, and a dedicated Siri app also in development, which should integrate with CarPlay as well.



For now, Grok’s CarPlay support is not available, but the placeholder confirms that it is coming soon, and that AI chatbots inside cars are quickly becoming standard rather than experimental.
