Apple Uses Agentic AI To Fix Your Compromised Passwords In iOS 27

Taking care of your online safety is about to get a whole lot easier for everyone. During its recent summer event, Apple showed off a massive update for its built-in Passwords app. Instead of just warning you about bad security habits, the app will soon use smart technology to log into websites and change weak or leaked login details on your behalf with just a single tap.

This brand new tool builds on features that already exist. For a while, the system could scan your saved data and flag any password that was too simple or exposed in a data leak. However, fixing those alerts meant visiting every single website yourself to update them manually.



With the launch of the new software, a Fix Passwords button will appear in the security tab. When you tap it, the system securely opens Safari and acts like a smart digital helper. It automatically signs into your accounts, creates much stronger security keys, and updates your records without making you do any extra work.



You can watch the whole process happen in real time on your screen. The app displays status updates like signing in or saving your strong password right as it works. If you change your mind while the assistant is running, you can simply tap a button to cancel the action midway.
