Walt Disney World Prepares To Launch New Digital Key Updates

Visitors planning a trip to Walt Disney World this fall will soon have an easier way to manage their daily schedules. The popular theme park is preparing to support a newly updated digital key feature built directly into the upcoming software update from Apple. This upgrade allows guests to view their entire itinerary right from their device screen without needing to constantly open separate applications.



Digital passes display live updates for ride times and dining



The current MagicMobile system lets guests store their tickets on an iPhone to enter the parks. By simply tapping their device at the gate, visitors can bypass physical cards. With the release of iOS 27, this system becomes much more capable.



When users open the Apple Wallet application and tap their digital pass, they will see a complete breakdown of their day. The screen will show park reservations, upcoming ride times, booked meals, and access details for special events. The passes are fully dynamic, meaning the information updates automatically as plans change throughout the afternoon.



While visitors will still need to use the official theme park app to actually book these activities, having all the details available in one central spot saves time. This change is especially helpful for families where one person manages the schedule for the whole group.



Reports suggest that other major vacation spots, like Resorts World Las Vegas, are also planning to adopt this technology when the software officially launches in September.
