Apple Reseller Reportedly Refuses to Ship Paid MacBook Pro Without Extra Payment

A MacBook Pro buyer in the U.K. says a reseller asked him to pay extra for an order he had already paid for before Apple raised its prices, creating another concern for customers waiting on high-end custom configurations.



According to the Reddit post, the buyer ordered an M5 Max MacBook Pro with 128GB unified memory from KRCS on June 5 and paid the full amount at the time of purchase. The delivery date was listed as July 31, but the reseller later contacted him and said he must either pay the new price difference or accept a full refund.



The issue has drawn attention because the buyer says KRCS did not mention this practice in its terms and conditions. Since the order was already placed and paid for before the price hike, the customer believes the reseller should honor the original price.



The Redditor also said he contacted Apple for clarification, and Apple reportedly told him that it does not follow the same practice. That detail has made the case more serious for buyers who placed orders before Apple’s price changes reached resellers.



For now, the customer appears ready to push for delivery at the original price. The case also shows why buyers should save order confirmations, payment receipts, and reseller terms when purchasing expensive built-to-order Macs.
