Apple Reveals 2026 Sales Tax Holiday Dates for 10 US States

Apple has published its 2026 sales tax holiday schedule, allowing customers in 10 US states to buy selected Apple products without paying state sales tax. Shoppers can use the offer online or at Apple Stores, although each state follows different dates, product rules, and price limits.



Apple 2026 Tax-Free Shopping Dates



The first sales tax holiday begins in Alabama from July 17 to July 19, while Florida offers the longest shopping period from July 20 through August 20.



Other dates include:




New Mexico and Tennessee: July 31 to August 2



West Virginia: July 31 to August 3



Arkansas: August 1 to August 2



Missouri, South Carolina, and Virginia: August 7 to August 9



Massachusetts: August 8 to August 9




Arkansas offers one of the widest exemptions, covering Macs, iPads, iPhones, Apple Vision Pro, printers, and selected accessories without a listed price limit.



Massachusetts allows most individual items priced at $2,500 or less, while Florida and Missouri limit qualifying computers and accessories to $1,500 per item.



Tennessee applies a $1,500 limit to the combined cost of a computer and eligible accessories, while New Mexico sets lower limits of $1,000 for computers and $500 for related hardware.



Apple advises customers to review local rules before ordering, since some accessories must support school use or come with a computer. Tax savings may appear only on the final receipt.
