New Portfolio!

I've always loved tarot cards and readings and wanted to incorporate that aesthetic into my new portfolio. Every visual asset was designed by me in Affinity Designer, adding another design tool to my skill set alongside development.

Frontend: React + Vite + Custom Hooks

Backend: Node.js + Express (deployed with cPanel)

⚫Live Spotify vinyl widget showing what I'm currently listening to (falls back to my coding playlist when I'm offline)

🟡Fan-style project carousel

Interactive constellation wheel showcasing the languages, frameworks, and tools I'm comfortable working with

⚫Contact form powered by Nodemailer + SMTP with automatic confirmation emails

🟡Form security with input sanitization, honeypot protection, and IP-based rate limiting

⚫Theme toggle for dark and light mode with little easter eggs of the zodiac constellations

I'm still actively tweaking and adding some minor things such as improving SEO and fine tuning layouts for different viewports!

Also spent a good chunk of time debugging a multi-layer caching bug. Turns out "my API returns fresh data" and "my deployed site shows fresh data" are two very different problems once nginx, nodejs and browser fetch caching all get involved. Fun rabbit hole.
