Mistfall Hunter Review (PC)

When Mistfall Hunter was first announced, the idea of having an extraction game with soulslike combat intrigued me quite a bit. And it made me curious about how they would pull it off, but thankfully Bellring Games delivers in a way that I did not expect. Certainly not without its issues, of course, but this is a game that tries something new, even if it has a few failure points here and there.

Mistfall Hunter takes place in the world of Weavereach, after a cataclysmic war wiped out the ancient gods of the land, and this world is now in shambles. We play as a gyldhunter, and we venture in 2 different maps, trying to eliminate enemies and bosses, accumulate loot and escape before the timer runs out, which is roughly 20 minutes. That sounds like much, but as you explore and go into different paths or battle enemies, you will have times when you barely escape at the 1-minute limit.
