Unpopular(?) opinion: I do not think there is an "easy" or "noob friendly" distro.

i think most people would point to ubuntu, fedora or mint as their primary recommendation for linux beginners. there's no issue with that as on the surface, these 3 streamline (some of) the process somewhat decently. though my main argument is that it does not matter all that much what distro you go with and you'll have to tinker on the terminal...
