What is the best way to use Twitter(except the website in your browser) on your GNU/Linux in 2018

As Corebird is nearly dead, running fine but unmaintained, there need to be a new solution.

Of course the PWA is a solution, it works nice on platforms with native PWA support like Windows 10 or Android but on Linux, the only way to use it right now is per Chrome/Chromium or a Electron App, so also Chrome.

Is there any good way to do this Gekko based? Something more free in terms of freedom.

Most sad thing about it is, Corebird seems to run absolutely fine, the only issue is that the connection times out from time to time what is fixable by a small patch(there is a thread in corebirds issues on GitHub), but the developer just don't care.
