14 years ago, I almost lost it while building my company, Kissmetrics.

So we tried something different. Instead of "marketing funnel," we wrote about "how marketing funnels work."
Smaller term. Way less search volume. Felt like a downgrade.
That month we pulled in 142,149 visitors from those longer terms. And they didn't just visit, they signed up.
See there's a real difference between someone typing "build email list" and someone typing "get my first 1000 email subscribers." One's browsing. One's buying.
This was years ago, and the lesson has only gotten more true with brands like River Pool and Spas making $2Million in Sales or Amazon making 57% of their sales with long tail keywords.
But how do you find these long tail keywords?
Tools like Ubersuggest, make this a lot easier by giving a holistic overview of all auto complete suggestions sorted by SEO difficulty.
