Huawei's Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro Will Not Be Sold in the U.S.

Huawei's Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro smartphones designed to rival Apple's iPhone XS and Google's Pixel 3 will not be sold in the U.S. following multiple dropped agreements by carriers after the US government pushed for a ban based on security risks.

"We are not planning to sell the Mate 20 Series in the US. While international variants of the Mate 20 Series may be available on some U.S. online retail sites, we encourage individuals to carefully read the details about the warranty and network compatibility before purchasing," according to a statement Business Insider got from a Huawei spokesperson.

Following this statement, it is clear that although Huawei will not be selling its new flagships with built-in support for U.S. telecommunications companies such as Verizon, T-Mobile, or Sprint, the devices will still be available in European or Asian versions.
