Accessibility Committee: September 2026

In the September Accessibility Standards & Compliance meeting, the committee welcomed Martin and Davi as new members. The group shared updates on accessibility testing and fixes for Thunderbird Desktop, including Firefox testing, axe-core checks, and integrating Firefox's tools that make use of Thunderbird’s accessibility checklist. The committee also talked about accessibility annotations for designers, with a focus on only adding when something is new, important, or different. The meeting also included a screen reader demo from Martin, updates on joining the W3C ARIA working group, and a short discussion about future testing work with Firefox.
