Why are pre-configured bootable snapshots not more prevalent in distros?

Rant alert. First came across these in cachy. Brilliant. Configured out of the box, able to revert almost any kind of failure, which situation using a rolling distro is not unlikely if I'm reading the room correctly. So if I want to go with a rolling distro I'm golden, as tumbleweed also has this feature. But why are we forced to live like animals...
