I fully switched to Linux a year ago after using it it for some time. I'm rather happy with it, but my old Capture Card (a Startech one) I bought 2 years ago, doesn't work any more (I tried running the drivers in a VM and with wine, but nothing worked.
Now I'd like to go with one that just supports V4L2 so it's merely plug and play. So unfortunatly that seems to already eliminate blackmagic, AVerMedia and Elgato. Magewell devices are a bit too expensive for me so currently my sights are on.
AGPtEK USB 3.0 HDMI HD
I only need 1080p at 60fps, but the 4k model isn'T really that expensive and It sounds like that would ensure that I wouldn't get stutters.
Anyone have any input on this?
