- The AI SDK moves together to one release line:
ai7.0.120 and every@ai-sdk/*package on@ai-sdk/provider-utils5.0.50 (previouslyai7.0.79 with packages bumped one by one). Turning reasoning off no longer sendsreasoning.effort: "none"to OpenAI models that can't turn it off, such as GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol (GPT-6 Astra answered with a 400, for example from commit message generation); GPT-5.x and GPT-6 Sol/Luna still get"none". Turning reasoning off also no longer sendsthinking: {type: "disabled"}to Claude models that can't turn thinking off, such as Claude Fable 5 and Opus 5.5 (they answered with"thinking.type.disabled" is not supported for this model); other Claude models still getdisabled - Stdio MCP clients handle EPIPE when a server exits before reading all of its input. Previously that raised an uncaught exception on the host process. The SAP AI Core provider also no longer installs winston's process-wide
uncaughtExceptionhandler, which calledprocess.exit(1)three seconds after any uncaught error - The legacy provider-settings migration no longer adds an empty
sapaicoreentry toproviders.json. It used to do this for every migrated user, because the extension writessapAiCoreUseOrchestrationModeas a default @cline/coreexportsparseMcpHeaders, used by the CLI'smcp addwizard to keep--headervalues- Refreshed the model catalog. Adds Claude Haiku 5.5. Default models change for Google Vertex AI (Claude Sonnet 5.5 → Claude Haiku 5.5), Cortecs, DevPass (LLM Gateway), Eden AI, GitHub Copilot, LLM Gateway, NanoGPT, OpenCode Go, Requesty, and Vivgrid (most now Claude Haiku 5.5)
