The Googlebook is finally here, and it's been a LONG time coming. It's taken almost two decades and a lot of chopping and changing of plans... to finally arrive at the computer in my hands right now: A device that feels like Google saying: Yes, this, finally is the REAL Google laptop you've been waiting for.
So why did it take so long for something so obvious to actually materialize?
In this video we're going to retrace the Googlebook's earliest ancestors, ambitious but flawed efforts of the late 2000s, through to familiar Chromebooks and Pixelbooks... Before, finally, arriving at the Googlebooks of today.
