Compiz broke gconf2

I setup compiz on my Ubuntu 18.10 machine, and now gconf2 is "broke"

Any attempt to fix it, just prints out the same error message saying it is broke

However, the error report shows a missing file exception at usr/share/gconf/schemas and yet that folder is there. Only thing in it is docky.schemas
