MPD and album art

Alright, I use MPD + ncmpcpp. Nothing better. But now I want to incorporate album art into the mix.

My long term goal is to have a separate display (as a wall hanging, possibly connected to a pi) that will display the art. But first, just need to actually get the business of displaying album art working reliably.

Suggestions? I've had it sort of working about a year ago using conky but am curious to know of other solutions.
