My question is how does one’s router get hacked? I can think of 3 ways: Local threat by MITM by someone in your neighborhood through scanning for WiFi’s and cracking the passwords and getting in. He could also set up a fake WIFI in places like Starbucks and people could login in to it. 2nd way is that You could visit a fake website and download something (you can get a worm or Trojan even without downloading something by just visiting a website, right?).
Can a hacker remotely hack your router when you are connected to the internet, if you NEVER visit a fake or scam website, and NEVER download fake files (only from Offical websites) and if so how? (Not locally)
