Microsoft Releases Cumulative Update KB4491101 for Original Windows 10 Version

Microsoft has released a new cumulative update for Windows 10, and while many users are waiting for such a patch for the October 2018 Update, this time the software giant is rolling out some goodies for the original version of the OS that shipped in July 2015.

The new cumulative update is KB4491101, and it increases the OS build number to 10240.18135, bringing just two different fixes to devices which are still running it.

First and foremost, Microsoft says it has resolved an issue that prevented Internet Explorer from loading images that have a backslash in their relative source patch.

It’s important to keep in mind that Microsoft has recently recommended against using Internet Explorer, explaining that this browser is still available in Windows 10 for compatibility purposes and now to be used as a daily driver.

Additionally, this cumulative update repairs a reliability issue with win32kfull.sys introduced in KB4487026, and this is pretty much all about it.
