Anonymous Dumps Database of Izmir Gaz to Protest Against Turkey and Erdogan

An unknown member of the Anonymous hacker collective has dumped a database online, claiming to belong to Izmir Gaz, a Turkish energy and natural gas provider based in the town of Izmir, located on the Western coast of Turkey.

The hacker(s) posted the data online two days ago, but at the time of writing, the Izmir Gaz website is down, providing some validity to the attacker's claims to have hacked the company.

Along with the data dump, the hacker posted the following message, with an apology to some of Turkey's citizens.

[CITATION]We hacked www.izmirgaz.comtr for two reasons: (1) Company owners have good relations with Erdo[REDACTED] (2) İzmir is city what Prime Minister Binali Yildirim elected. We didnt publish any data about citizens. We are sorry we didnt remove their payments/bills because we had to work fast.[/CITATION]
