Continuum is one of the key features of Windows 10 Mobile, and Microsoft has put a lot of effort into getting it right, with particular focus not only on its capabilities but also its name.
A recent find from Twitter user @h0x0d has revealed that Microsoft originally called Continuum “Modern Glass,” as it was an improved version of Xbox SmartGlass that was specifically designed for mobile phones. Xbox SmartGlass is a feature brought by a dedicated mobile app that turns a smartphone or tablet into a secondary Xbox screen, letting you control the device with ease.
In the case of Continuum, Microsoft picked Modern Glass especially because it suggested an improved version of Xbox SmartGlass, but the name was then changed to Wizard/Tinman only internally, as work advanced towards the final stages of development.
