Samsung is reportedly working hard on a new Exynos processor, as recent reports suggest that the company already started testing the new unit. Exynos 8895 is said to be built on the 10nm process with a 30% performance increase compared to its predecessor, Exynos 8890.
The report comes from Weibo, via PhoneArena and it shows that test batches have hit speeds of 4GHz, but some say that the performance will be limited for retail smartphones. The 10nm process is said to come with a boost in speed, as well as power efficiency so battery consumption shouldn't be a concern.
In addition, Exynos 8895 will reportedly have the same power consumption at peak 4GHz as the upcoming Snapdragon 830 at 3.6GHz, without overheating being a concern.
