The Windows 10 Anniversary Update is already here, and unfortunately for those who wanted to see an overhauled version of File Explorer in this release, the new update doesn’t bring anything new on this front. As a result, all hopes are now that something could change in the next big release codenamed Redstone 2.

But what exactly could change in File Explorer? A concept created by reddit user MorphicSn0w shows exactly what Windows 10 adopters expect from the old-school file manager integrated into the operating system.

Without a doubt, the tab support is what makes people drool over concepts like this one, and although this is one of the top requests since forever, Microsoft doesn’t seem to be too interested in developing such an update for File Explorer.
