Google’s New Crowdsource App Asks Users to Make Text Translations

Google has released a new application that requires users to help the giant company with translations and text transcriptions. Those who have 5-10 seconds to spare can check out the app and help Google with numerous tasks.

Google’s Crowdsource requires users to translate and transcript text into multiple languages. Those who speak one language can help with image transcription and handwriting recognition, although some of the text provided inside the application is quite difficult to understand.

Users also receive an image so they can type out what it says. The pictures that appear inside the application are street signs, so they are easy to transcript and even translate.

Users who speak two or more languages can create and verify translations for text and Maps data, which would help Google provide more accurate text inside applications.
