Samsung Still Believes in Windows Phone, Plans Security Update for SmartThings

Windows phone users have kind of gotten used to app developers leaving the platform, and whenever significant updates are released, Android and iOS are pretty much the key focus for the majority of companies.

But as far as Samsung is concerned, and we probably all agree that the South Korean company has all the reasons in the world to be more focused on Android than on Windows Phone, app updates should arrive on all platforms, including Microsoft’s.

That’s why the company will release a significant security update for its SmartThings home automation app on all supported platforms and Windows Phone won’t be left behind.

“The safety and security of your home are fundamental to our mission at SmartThings. Starting September 15, 2016, the latest versions of the SmartThings mobile app will begin using new authentication measures to help keep your home private and secure,” the company said....
