Today, October 11, 2016, the KDE Project proudly announced the general availability of the first point release of the KDE Plasma 5.8 LTS desktop environment, versioned 5.8.1.
KDE Plasma 5.8.1 is the first of nine maintenance updates that will be provided for the long-term supported KDE Plasma 5.8 desktop environment until its end of life in April 2018, and it looks like it addresses multiple issues reported by users since the release of KDE Plasma 5.8 LTS on October 4, 2016.
