Popular CamScanner App Removed from Play Store After It Distributed Malware

The famous CamScanner Android app was removed from Google Play Store after it was revealed that some of the versions had embedded malware. It turns out that it might not have been their fault.

Google is trying to keep its store as clean as possible, but some apps fall through the existing cracks. Even if the company implemented Play Protect, a service that automatically scans apps during install, CamScanner had no problem and past right through.
