GPG4Win - No Pin Entry / Bad Passphrase

Using latest version of Kleopatra on Windows 10.

I cannot seem to create a new key pair, encrypt or decrypt anything. It gives me either a no pinentry or bad passphrase error. Searching for answers doesn't come up with anything useful to me.

EDIT: I was able to fix the issue by typing gpgconf --kill all into the command prompt. What does this do exactly and what may have caused the problem? Is there an easier way to fix the problem without having to use the command prompt?
