I have been using a Dell 1080p 24" IPS display for a couple of years. Previously, I had a 24" 4k Dell TN display and loved watching videos on it. But it was a major hassle with regards to linux - up until a couple of years ago most DEs didn't have scaling, and there were other issues with waking that particular Dell display from sleep, etc. So I got fed up and sold it and went with a 1080p display. It's a fine display but I miss the 4k video consumption : )
I recently decided to upgrade my display as the 24" is too small for me, so I bought an MSI MAG27CQR. Even though I don't do much gaming, it was a good price ($279) for a 27" 2560x1440 1ms 144hz display. It took a few days of tweaking the colors and it's now pretty good, but I'm thinking about returning it and going to a 4k display.
Anyone here go from QHD to 4k display?
How is linux now with regards to display scaling, particularly - how is a 27" 4k display scaled at 200%?
