Clustering

I have a Java correlation service that ingests traffic for purpose of correlating events (security events). However, the service itself is self contained in each instance.

Is there some open source solution that would allow me to cluster all the resources from my other hardware and allow my single instance of the service to use those resources and execute the correlation on the main unit?
