I've been trying to figure this out for quite a bit now, and I can't figure it out. No matter what terminal I use, I can't get 'ls' to display colors based on file or folder type. I have followed 3 or 4 tutorials and nothing is changing.
My .dir_colors file is in my home directory, and both terminals I have tried are listed in the top part of the file.
My .bashrc file shows the ls alias should be sending 'ls --color=auto' to terminal whenever it is run. >>
