Canonical Officially Releases Ubuntu Snappy Core 16 with a Focus on IoT Security

Today, November 3, 2016, Canonical informed us about the general availability of the final release of the company's Ubuntu Snappy Core 16 Linux-based operating system designed for Internet of Things (IoT).

If you're reading this space, then you probably know that we've covered the entire development cycle of the Ubuntu Snappy Core 16, which has been in development since early September 2016, during which it received three Beta builds and two Release Candidate milestones that brought all the core features from Canonical's latest Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) operating system, along with the newest Snappy technologies for offering the best security for IoT (Internet of Things) devices.
