Is there a truly reliable IP security camera out there?

I’m in the market for an indoor home security IP camera, but I’ve heard so many stories about security back doors that it’s difficult to make a decision on one. Whilst the cameras themselves may be great with top reviews, there’s never any mention of actual network security because it’s not necessarily a thing that consumers concern themselves with.

Obviously anything can be hacked with enough effort, but are there inexpensive options out there without a backdoor?
