Blackbird anti-telemetry tool for Windows

I've seen a few posts regarding Blackbird which has left me curious. I use this tool to mitigate Windows 10 telemetry and regain a bit of performance, it stops a lot of the auto-loggers in the background and kills a lot of un-necessary processes.

I've had no negative experiences but have seen a couple of posts saying people have detected malware within it.

Although BB developers claiming some detections are a false positive, I was wondering from a security standpoint what the people of this community have to say about it and if they have any experience.

I haven't come across any source code for the program/script ~ also don't have a lot of experience in programming but is it possible to do an independent code audit to verify if it is embedding malware or malicious hosts?

As I said I've had no personal issues with it, I'm yet to check any malicious connections via Wireshark. If Blackbird isn't what it seems to be maybe Tronscript, Shutup10 etc would be a better alternative to lock down Windows?
