Looking for a Winamp replacement for linux

So I just dropped Windows on my desktop for Linux, and the main thing I'm missing at the moment is a music player that actually accommodates my workflow that I had in Winamp.

Specifically, there are two things I did a lot in winamp:

• Play my entire library on shuffle (ideally, as easily as winamp's double-click)

  • Scroll around on the right-hand pane (where the current playlist was shown) to play one specific song from this large shuffle list

• Easily dig through the artist/album lists to play all songs by an artist or all songs on an album

This seems like... not that complicated of a workflow to me, but amazingly I can't seem to find any music player that actually enables it (especially the first point). I've found players that enable me to play my entire library on shuffle, sure, but none that let me do that and then flick through the list and play one specific thing in that list (with it then continuing on its merry way playing the entire thing on shuffle).

Any suggestions?
