PowerDNS Recursor up to 4.0.6 DNSSEC Validator weak authentication

A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in PowerDNS Recursor up to 4.0.6 (Domain Name Software). This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component DNSSEC Validator. Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published before and not just after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
