An AI assistant was casually asked whether it could find vulnerabilities in devices connected to a computer. The result was reportedly significant vulnerabilities across consumer and prosumer products, although the findings were described as largely local and not necessarily relevant to enterprise environments.

The notable part is the accessibility. This wasn't presented as an elaborate vulnerability-research platform requiring a sophisticated custom setup. A relatively simple interaction produced useful security findings.

If AI makes vulnerability discovery this accessible, how should defenders adapt?
