The value of an agent isn’t measured by how much code it writes, but by how much software work it finishes. In this GitHub Universe 2026 session, GitHub Chief Product Officer Mario Rodriguez and Principal Engineering Manager Evan Boyle explore a new operating model where developers define outcomes and standards while GitHub Copilot agents carry work through the entire development loop. Discover how autonomous agents move beyond code generation to plan, review, secure, and deploy software while keeping people accountable for what ships. Learn how teams connect context, workflows, and enterprise controls to delegate ambitious tasks with confidence.
