CVE-2026-63938 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SEV: Check PSC request indices against the actual size of the buffer When processing Page State Change (PSC) requests, validate the PSC buffer against the effective size of the scratch area, which could be less than the maximum size if the guest provided a pointer that isn't exactly at the start of the GHCB shared buffer.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

KVM: SEV: Check PSC request indices against the actual size of the buffer

When processing Page State Change (PSC) requests, validate the PSC buffer
against the effective size of the scratch area, which could be less than
the maximum size if the guest provided a pointer that isn't exactly at the
start of the GHCB shared buffer.

Out-of-bounds Read

The product reads data past the end, or before the beginning, of the intended buffer.

🛡️ Empfohlene Mitigation: Assume all input is malicious. Use an "accept known good" input validation strategy, i.e., use a list of acceptable inputs that strictly conform to specifications. Reject any input that does not strictly conform to specifications, or transform it into something that does. When performing input validation, consider all …
