Storing a html post in a database.

Hello,

I dont know if am posting in the wrong subreddit, if so please tell me and i remove my post :D

My questions is how would u store HTML in a database safely or is there any other options(markdown mby?).

I have been working and reading a bit about it but for what I understand is escaping the html before storing it important, which i could understand. But is there more stuffs that you should think about?

Why I am asking is cuz I am currently working a small project for fun which is kind of a medium copy or anyone tryed that?
