๐ Why year of the linux desktop will never happen.

EDIT: LOL, Facts don't care about your feelings. Downvoting this post isn't going to decrease Window's <95% share on operating systems
Let's say that I'm your average everyday normie who just had windows 10 crash on him, corrupting all of his furry porn. I'm pretty mad and think windows is sucking massive dick right now and I'm looking for alternatives. I find this thing called Linux and here's whats ahead of me:
1) Installing linux distros is sketchy and sometimes incredibly difficult for people with zero knowledge of a computer
You have to go their website, download a 2-3 gigabyte file and then literally replace your operating system with this thing you just heard about a few hours ago. You could half your disk space and duel boot it but how is your average everyday normie gonna figure out how to do that? He has never ad any experience with operating systems since he just uses Windows 10 and doesn't need to think about anything. This is why Ubuntu is so popular, its really easy to install, use and learn. It also has a bunch of bloat on it too, ironically making the most popular linux distro a glorified Windows 10.
2) You can't JUST install linux and forget about it.
Normies think of an operating system as just a way to use their computer and nothing else. There's so many incompatible games and tools that just don't flat out work on Linux, making people just want to go back so that they can play their DOOM's and use their Adobe's. Incompatible software is a game breaking deal to almost everyone.
3) Incredibly Difficultly to learn
A computer illiterate person can't use Linux without bumping into a wall, if he tried googling for a tutorial he'd likely be redirected to the distro's Wikipedia when he is often used to youtube videos, if there are youtube videos then 99.99% of the time, they will be using the terminal. Remember, this brand new linux user is computer illiterate, so having to preform all of this on the terminal while not knowing how to do any of it on a graphical user interface is a major fucking deal. This reason alone of being too confused is a one of the key reasons that most people ditch linux.
In the end, they'll just go back to Windows. All of their software is compatible there, they don't need to learn a new file system, they don't need to learn to use the terminal, they don't need to know why .exe doesn't work on linux, windows is just easy. You turn windows on and you forget you have it on but its the opposite with Linux.
Only the most dedicated of computer nerds will learn and stick with Linux while the vast majority of its new users will abandon ship within at most a year.
