The South Korean company has confirmed its new flagship Exynos chip would be announced on January 12, and by the looks of things, this happens only two days before the S21 officially sees the daylight.
“A whole new Exynos is coming. January 12, 2021,” Samsung tweeted.
Of course, this is the new Exynos chip that will also power the Galaxy S21, and there’s a good chance it’ll land as Exynos 2100. The new chip will be built on a 5nm process, and the target is quite obvious: the company wants to make it a worthy alternative to the Snapdragon 888 built by Qualcomm.
