Storage Solutions & Their Use Cases

Hello All,

Considering these storage solutions:

• ZFS
• LVM + Filesystem
• Stratis + Filesystem

Would there any specific use case for each one of these solutions, like industry or the nature of a business, or can they simply be used interchangeably?

Thanks to another post I delved into ZFS on FreeBSD and I must say it has been a breeze so far, as it combines both storage management and its own filesystem.

Pity ZFS is not widely adopted by Linux distributions; to my knowledge only Ubuntu offers it in the installer. Also Stratis seems nice but is available only on RHEL & Clones..

Let me know your thoughts.
