What are your goals for week 46 of 2024?

It's week 46 of 2024. Today is Veteran's Day, thank you to all that have served. Many people are off but not all. Government offices and banks are closed. Schools may or may not be closed.

An example of how learning to code can change daily life. While in coding bootcamp one of my fellow students got a job before graduation. He's a veteran and said this was the first time he had Veteran's Day off.

• Project work. Need to get back to coding React.

  • I don't know of any local events this week. The agile meet up is off for the month. Another local one has already said they're taking Nov and Dec off from meetings.

  • [❌] Wednesday Job Fair - Didn't attend it was the same time as the Dads in Tech. They listed open positions beforehand with a breakdown off remote and onsite. There wasn't a good match. Plus I needed to see friends after Tuesday's election result.
  
  
  • [❌] Thursday Virtual Coffee. Conflict.
  
  
  • [✅] Thursday Night Dallas Software (virtual) Night of JavaScript. This was an eventful meetup. It's hybrid so I watched from Home. WiFi and tech issues made the onsite group change rooms twice. But great job from the team keeping it going and keeping the virtual part of the meet up.

• Pack for short trip * The art show we were going to attend was cancelled. So no trip. Introverts usually like cancelled events, but we spent a lot of time prepping and buying supplies.
