What programs should i use to learn hacking?

Hello,

So, i’ve been learning Linux for a 2 days, I’m wondering what tools are available for hacking, making Viruses (infecting files), Spyware and Ransomware. No, I’m not doing unethical things, this is all for educational purposes to advance my career after I graduate.

I currently use Kali Linux but there is soo many options, I’m lost!

I remember as a 10 year old kid, i used a software called backtrack and others i can’t remember on windows and it was kinda easy, is there anything similar to that on Linux.
