The policies can be codified and easily accessible to all stakeholders to ensure that companies be able to have a consistent, standard security strategy across their entire application portfolio.



It is essential to invest in security education and training courses that aid in the implementation and operation of these guidelines. The goal of these initiatives is to provide developers with expertise and knowledge required to write secure code, spot possible vulnerabilities, and implement best practices for security during the process of development. The training should cover a broad range of topics such as secure coding techniques and the most common attack vectors, to threat modelling and design for secure architecture principles. They can also enhance their detection and preventance of emerging threats by learning from previous vulnerabilities and attack patterns.



One of the most promising applications of AI in AppSec is using code property graphs (CPGs) that can facilitate an accurate and more efficient vulnerability detection and remediation. CPGs provide a rich and visual representation of the application's source code, which captures not just the syntactic structure of the code, but also the complex relationships and dependencies between different components. By leveraging the power of CPGs AI-driven tools, they can perform deep, context-aware analysis of an application's security profile in identifying security vulnerabilities that could be missed by traditional static analysis methods.



Furthermore, CPGs can enable automated vulnerability remediation with the use of AI-powered repair and transformation methods. By understanding the semantic structure of the code, as well as the characteristics of the identified vulnerabilities, AI algorithms can generate specific, context-specific fixes that solve the root cause of the issue rather than merely treating the symptoms.
