Professional : Pretty chill day. Worked on the demo application that I've been refactoring and adding a couple of features. A coworker already said that they would like to use it in an upcoming talk. I also did some more research into the other sponsors for the hackathon that I'll be working to see if there are any synergies and ways that my company's products can work with theirs. That way, I'll be able to suggest different intergration ideas for the folks participating in the hackathon. I want to try and get as many people as possible to try our stuff.
Personal : Last night, I got all the social media posts ready for the projects I picked up on Bandcamp. I also went through tracks for the radio show. I also paid my bills for the month, both personal and business. Then I went down a pretty terrible back and forth with an AI that I was trying to vibe code an idea I had for an application. There was a bug where the AI would say it created a file, but the file didn't show up on my end. I would say that the file isn't there, it would check, agree, recreate the file, say it was there, and it wasn't. Then that cycle would repeat in different variations for like a few hours. haha At the end, I think I figured it out. There is an issue with a specific file type that wouldn't allow it to show up on my end. I had the AI rename the file extension to .txt before adding it and that seemed to work. I just needed to rename the files and everything seemed to work again. It's an application that I won't need for a little bit, but I wanted to get the idea out of my brain and have a start that I can go back to when I'm ready for it.
Tonight, I want to focus on getting two shows worth of tracks put together for the radio show since I most likely won't have time next week between working the hackathon and traveling. I might be able to get some stuff done on the plane flight, but I don't want to rely on the plane's WiFi haha. I also want to see if I can have AI generate like a business plan for my business while I work on the radio show. I have an idea, but I want to get something more concrete and have AI do some research and help put together something I can reference and implement. Otherwise, I'm running around in open fields and getting nowhere. I have a goal in mind and a rough way to get there, I'm going to see if AI can give me a clearer path.
